Susan Ward was born in Louisiana on April 15, 1976. Her father was a policeman, while her mother worked double-duty as a University professor and a nurse. Since Susan's father was passionate in raising exotic animals, while her mother loves to cure the sick, Susan Ward dreamed of becoming a veterinarian when she was young.
Susan Ward originally started out modeling when she was thirteen years old, until she moved to New York. She studied psychology at the Northeast Louisiana University, but dropped out to focus on acting. Susan Ward landed some small roles for television shows such as All My Children, as well as a part on Malibu Shores in 1996, but her big break came when she was cast for Sunset Beach as Meg Cummings in 1997. She shared a nomination with costar Clive Roberston in the 1999 Soap Opera Digest in the category of Favorite Couple for their performance in Sunset Beach.
In 1999, Susan Ward decided to make a total makeover both for her Holywood image, from a "good girl" image to a wild child, and her physical image as she underwent breast augmentation and several cosmetic surgeries.
Susan Ward’s television work includes appearances on Xena: Warrior Princess, Men, Women, and Dogs, and The X Show. She then made her debut on the silver screen with Poison Ivy
